"Our collection is in support of David Attenborough's documentary series Frozen Planet," said Dame Vivienne in a press release. The reason, apparently, is that she was miffed to learn that the final episode - "where he explains that we humans are responsible for the ice melt" - will not be aired in the United States.

Prada's Real Fantasie Lookbook
James has directed, designed, and created visual worlds for three of the greatest directors of our time. James Cameron, Steven Spielberg, and Joe Pytka.
When Miuccia Prada, the inventive and bold genius behind thePRADA fashion empire looked for the right director, she hired James to direct TREMBLED BLOSSOMS, the most ambitious and inspired CG animated fashion film of the decade.
It was no surprise that when Madonna, looking for the right director for a CG animated film, hired James to direct RAIN, the mash-up music video for her Sticky & Sweet Tour.
His latest directorial project “The Love Thing” for Love Magazine once again teamed James with mega Designer Pradaand Editor/stylist Katie Grand to produce the innovative online hit.

There's plenty of web shops out there, masses of online supermarkets flogging either super luxe and conceptual goods or cheap as chips threads. The most exciting trade has arguably moved in from Bond and Sloan Street to the world wide web. Coggles is one of the winners in this fashionable retail jungle, having found the right balance between high end brands like Comme des Garcons, Damir Doma and See by Chloe and more reasonable priced goods from Penfield, Our Legacy and David David.
But there are other elements to Coggles that make the boutique stand out amongst its peers. There's a strong sense of Coggles selling a style, rather than fashion. Except for clothes, you can also buy books, vintage pieces, magazines and bicycles. The site is clearly beyond just picking up the latest trends, it's about sustaining a lifestyle. By David Hellqvist

“We’re channeling sunlight the way they did in ancient Egyptian tombs, but in a supermodern way.” Ramsey envisions a stand of dozens of lamppostlike solar collectors on the Delancey Street median, feeding a system of fixtures down below.
Land for parks is so scarce in Manhattan that the city’s most generous new green space, the High Line, occupies an elevated railway. Now three urbanist entrepreneurs hope to mine roughly two acres of green space under the city streets.
Transforming an old freight line into an attractive strip of greenery, this trio wants to convert the vast and dank trolley terminal that has sat disused on the Lower East Side for six decades into a park that they are calling Delancey Underground but will inevitably be known as the Low Line.

Kate Moss bringt es auf den Punkt: ' Mit dem konventionellen Fliegen bin ich durch. Das ist ja der pure Stress. Ich will eine eigene Linie, "Kate Air" wäre ein hübscher Name, finde ich.' (Vogue)
The Russian Architects Arch Group propose an other solution: 'If you want to sleep while waiting for your plane or train, you face many security and hygiene problems. We believe that urban infrastructure should be more comfortable. For this purpose we have developed Sleepbox. It provides moments of quiet sleep and rest without wasting time in search for a hotel.'
The Sleepbox unit at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport contains two beds and can be rented for between 30 minutes and several hours.
The architects are aware of the intense service after each user and proposed a sheet changing mechanism, but for the moment their main task is to make Sleepbox affordable...and some much needed fine tuning, see comments.
But as long as we can't afford our own airline, we are more than happy to follow up the Japanese and Russian prototypes for comfy air travel?

Close your eyes and envision the prototypical perfumer or architect. Now open them and glance at Ben Gorham, covered in tattoos or Peter Marino (Video) in his unchanging uniform of biker leathers and cap. You can be forgiven if the two images don’t exactly jibe.
Individuality is now accepted up to the executive suite: Gorham (below) is the driving force behind Byredo Parfums, the Stockholm-based fragrance house that he launched in 2006 and Marino, best known as the retail design guru behind Barneys’ Madison Av. as well as the go-to architect for Chanel, Fendi, Zegna, Christian Dior, and Louis Vuitton, see also page 10 in our bi-monthly POOL Report.

For the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin, (January 2011) MoMu, the Fashion Museum in Antwerp and Mercedes-Benz, invited Belgian art director Frederik Heymann and 4 fashion designers to create 4 installations.
His decors are built completely by hand, in collaboration with a team of sculptors and artists. In the final results, the handcraft, the construction and consequently also quality craftsmanship are always clearly traceable. Fashion designers Bernhard Willhelm, Peter Pilotto, Henrik Vibskov and Mikio Sakabe have added their own visions to the installations with each 3 new looks.

WeSC (We are the Superlative Conspiracy), or We as it is casually known, is a Swedish clothing brand, based mainly on skateboarding influences and style. The brand first became famous through sponsoring many Swedish underground artists and musicians (called “activists” or “weactivists”) this helped the brand to gain an underground, "alternative" image which turned out to be very popular.
This strategy has also made WESC come under fire because of their constructed "underdog" image, when they in fact are one of Sweden's biggest clothing companies. Some of their former "activists" have also spoken out how they regret promoting the brand. -source Wikipedia
